Hi everyone, my name is Gia… I love everything: parties, fun, and entertaining. I’ve worked in the banking industry for over 20 years and absolutely love it. However, hosting dinner parties, creating recipes, and brainstorming party ideas to express love is my real passion.

I feel like I was raised to be a hostess. My grandmother was the best host and she taught me the value of friendships and to make everyone that comes in your home to feel like they are royalty. 

I live by the principle that people may not remember what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel… or what you cooked! I love making everyone I come in contact with feel happy and loved. 

My goal for you friends is that I want you to look at my food and want to host and entertain. I want you to be confident in the kitchen and have a wonderful time entertaining. 

• Why The Name HouseShoe Hostess? 

I chose this name because. I have always tried to make my guest feel at home. So friends would come over in comfy clothes, we would watch movies or binge watch series, and I would always be in house shoes being the best hostess I could.

• Why I started blogging? 

I used to cater for large groups but had to stop due to a back injury. As I laid in bed for months recovering, I was afraid I would lose my passion… But the opposite proved true. Everyday I thought of what I was going to cook when I got better. I made a promise to celebrate everyday. Before I knew it I had several party ideas and recipes formulated and The Houseshoe Hostess was born.
